San Dimas: defeated Schurr of Montebello, 16-2; defeated La Canada, 2-1; defeated Barstow, 6-1; and defeated Village Christian of Sun Valley, 2-0.

A look at the matchup
Both the Heralds and the Saints are making their second appearances in the finals.

Whittier Christian defeated La Salle of Pasadena, 5-4, in the 2005 Division VI championship game.

San Dimas beat Lompoc, 3-2, in the 2001 Division IV title game.

Whittier Christian ace Courtney McGee has recorded three consecutive shutouts in the playoffs, allowing four hits and striking out 23.

Sophomore shortstop Natalie Sanchez is batting .373 with three homers and 25 RBIs to lead the Heralds' offense.

The Saints bring a 10-game winning streak into the final. San Dimas is batting .403 as a team, led by Gipsy Ramirez (.527, 31 R, 24 RBIs) and Yumiko Hiroto (.452, 5 HR, 26 RBIs).

Junior Kortnie Clark is 21-4 with a 1.00 ERA and 150 strikeouts in 140 innings.

South 71, North 54: Jeff Jefferson of Brethren Christian and Travis Ricker of Calvary Chapel each scored 14 to lead the South All Stars.

Whittier Christian’s Luke Essinger and Pranav Tadi of Whitney scored 12 each for the North.
