Mission Viejo High and Mission Viejo Nadadores standout distance swimmer David Heron has committed to Tennessee, the senior confirmed.
Heron, who finished fourth in the 500-yard free (4:30.59) at the CIF-SS Division 1 finals in May, made Tennessee his only official recruiting trip.
At Tennessee, he will be reunited with his former Nadadores coach, Tyler Fenwick, now an associate coach for the Vols. Heron captured the 5k U.S. open water national title in April, swam at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials and also claimed the 10K at the U.S. Junior Pan Pacific Championships in August.
