Foothill water polo center Hannah Lapkin, one of the most improved players in the county, has committed to Princeton, Knights coach Jeff Colton reports.
Lapkin has replaced the graduated McKenna Mitchell (UC Irvine) as Foothill’s top center and responded with eight goals in five matches. She netted a season-high three goals in a victory at Newport Harbor on Friday.
Lapkin will join a growing tradition of top O.C. centers at Princeton. The Tigers signed Katie Rigler out of Rosary and Diana Murphy of Corona del Mar in recent seasons.
Laguna Beach defender Sydney Saxe also has committed to Princeton, an East Coast powerhouse that finished sixth at NCAAs last season. Lapkin plays club for SOCAL.
