Fountain Valley outside linebacker Sean Finley (6-4, 220) has committed to South Dakota, former Barons football coach John Shipp reports.

Finley also had offers from Arizona and Nevada but picked South Dakota for two main reasons:

“Chance to play all four years without redshirt and they have a great business school,” he said in a text message.

The Coyotes, coming off a 1-10 season, also are recruiting Fountain Valley linebacker Wyatt Christensen.

Fountain Valley senior Sean Finley (6-4, 230) has been offered by Arizona as an outside linebacker, he said in a text message Wednesday.

Finley also holds offers from Nevada and South Dakota.

Fountain Valley junior linebacker Sean Finley (6-3, 195) has been offered by South Dakota State, his father, Tim confirmed.

Finley was a first-team All-Sunset League pick in 2011 for the Barons.

He is the second Fountain Valley junior to be offered early.

Offensive lineman J.D. Hinnant (6-5, 260) has picked up Pac-12 offers from Oregon State and Washington State and is ranked ninth in the OCVarsity recruiting rankings for the class of 2013.
