O.C. football Top 25: No. 11

(8-4 overall, 4-1 in the Sea View League last year)

The Chargers look to be a coaches’ consensus pick to win the Sea View League championship. They have six All-Sea View League returnees, including running back Nico Jackson (849 yards last year), highly recruited offensive lineman Jack Alvarez, linebacker Kyle Smith, safety Ryan Lewis and punter/kicker Wes Harris. With nine new starters on offense, it could be a bumpy start of the season for El Toro but look for them to have plenty of momentum going into league play.

It is a season of transition for the Mustangs, who last year reached the CIF-Southern Section Southwest Division championship game in which they lost to La Habra.

After four years of high times in the Pacific Coast League and the CIF-Southern Section Southern Division, the Hawks have moved up to the Sea View League portion of the Coast View Conference and the CIF-SS Southwest Division.
