San Clemente offensive lineman Sam Hunter (6-2, 255) has committed to Division 2 Minnesota Crookston, Tritons football coach Jaime Ortiz announced.
Hunter was a two-year starter the Tritons.
Ortiz said in an e-mail that Minnesota Crookston is “trying to open up their recruiting to California schools.”
The Golden Eagles also has been recruiting Aliso Niguel quarterback Nathan Cole among other players from the county.
