Rosary’s girls water polo program has named former Servite standout Rory Bevins as its coach, the school announced.

Bevins, an assistant coach the past few seasons, replaces veteran coach Mustafa Hassan. Bevins will also coach girls swim at Rosary.

Rosary’s girls water polo team reached the CIF-SS Division 2 quarterfinals last season, falling to eventual champion Santiago of Corona.

The Royals could be strong again in 2012-13 with the return of junior goalie Jessica Hermosillo and sophomores Anastacia Gonzalez and Katie Tijerina as a base.
