Football recruiting: Bridgford signs, local schools miss the boat?

Mission Viejo quarterback Allan Bridgford has signed with Cal. Bridgford might not be as highly ranked by some recruiters as say Matt Barkley (USC), Richard Brehaut (UCLA) and Josh Nunes (Stanford) but don't be surprised if he turns out to be a better collegian than either Brehaut and/or Nunes.

Barkley shines bright in Under Armour game

Mater Dei quarterback Matt Barkley threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns to lead the White to a 27-16 victory against the Black in the Under Armour High School All-America Game in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday night.

Les Barkley did just as I predicted -- laughed for 20 seconds, then said that Matt Barkley is completely committed to USC, and will be there for classes this spring semester, as Matt will graduate early from Mater Dei. Another rumor is dead.
