LANCASTER - Laguna Hills suffered a heartbreaking loss in the baseball playoffs on Friday.
The Hawks battled back from a six-run deficit but wound up losing to Lancaster, 13-12, when they allowed the winning run to score on a two-out, bases-loaded wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh.
Robert Refsnyder went 3 for 4 with two home runs, one double and five RBIs for the Hawks, and Richie Hogan contributed a two-run home run.

After a thrilling CIF play-in game, The Pacific Coast League playoff picture is finally set.
Junior Sheeva Seyfi scored off a set piece with less than three minutes remaining in the second half, as Laguna Hills claimed the third and final league playoff spot, defeating Beckman 2-1 Friday morning at Laguna Hills High.
The Hawks (7-11-4) and Patriots (8-5-7) each finished tied for third in the Pacific Coast League at 3-4-1and split their two league meetings this season, forcing a one game playoff.
The CIF-SS playoff brackets will be released Monday afternoon.
