A day after earning its 11th consecutive Pacific Coast League girls tennis championship, No. 2 Corona del Mar faced No. 5 Laguna Beach on Wednesday in each team’s final nonleague match of the season.
Saturday's tantalizing quadruple header at the Steve Lewis Memorial Volleyfest at Lakewood High School didn't disappoint, delivering an entertaining day of volleyball.
However, it was a rough day for the three county teams involved. No. 1 Los Alamitos, No. 4 Santa Margarita and No. 9 Laguna Beach each lost.
Lakewood High is hosting a quadruple header Saturday, called the Steve Lewis Memorial Volleyfest.
It features three teams from Orange County, all ranked in the top 10.
The schedule is as follows:
What happened: The Breakers overcame Calvary Chapel's hot start and triumph in four games, 15-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-18, in Orange Coast League play Thursday night at Laguna Beach High.
Sage Hill scored an upset over No. 4 Laguna Beach, 75-72, on games Tuesday.
Also, No. 7 Northwood downed No. 6 Woodbridge, 10-8.
And on Monday, No. 9 Laguna Hills defeated No. 8 San Clemente, 10-8.

The boys volleyball season official ended the second week of June.
The news hasn't stopped though. Here's a look at the All-CIF teams that were named.
Division II
After more than 20 years of waiting, Laguna Beach and Valencia's boys tennis teams are back in the CIF championship match.
The Breakers defeated No. 2 Cate, 13-5, to reach the Division IV final. The top-seeded Tigers beat Vista Murrieta, 13-5, to reach the Division III final. Both teams play Wednesday at the Claremont Club.
The playoffs continue Friday. Only a handful of county teams remain in contention.
