Dana Hills' Kristin Parry

Dana Hills' Kristin Parry

Entering the 2008 season, the Dana Hills girls cross country team was expected to be one of the best in the county.

However, buoyed by the addition of sophomore Kristin Parry, the Dolphins have staked a claim as the county’s best — and they might be one of the state’s best and most talented distance squads.

Parry, who transferred from Fallbrook High, has assimilated quickly into the Dolphin program and has seen success come quickly.  She won her first race with her new team in their first competition of the season at the Laguna Hills Invitational.

After winning the Division I sophomore race in front of her new home fans at the Dana Hills Invitational, Parry discussed respecting her competition, being accepted by her new team, and her individual and team goals for the 2008 season.
