Outlook: The Highlanders, the defending CIF Southwest champions, opened the season with a 54-13 victory over La Mirada. The competition should be tougher this week as South Hills visits.
La Habra All-County running back Josh Quezada, a junior, has been offered a scholarship by BYU, Highlanders coach Frank Mazzotta said in a text message. Quezada also is a recruit at linebacker but BYU has offered Quezada at running back, Mazzotta said.

La Habra first-team All-County running back Josh Quezada, a junior, has been offered a scholarship by Fresno State, Highlanders coach Frank Mazzotta said Thursday night.
The Bulldogs like Quezada (6-0, 190) at running back and outside linebacker, the coach said.
The Register's other first-team running back, junior Anthony Wilkerson of Tustin, has already been offered a scholarship by Stanford.
