Beckman pitcher James Kaprielian threw a no-hitter Tuesday against Woodbridge in an 8-0 Pacific Coast League victory at Beckman High.
Kaprielian struck out 10, walked one and hit one en route to recording the school’s first no-hitter.

Three Beckman baseball players who led the Patriots to the CIF Division III title will sign their letters of intent this afternoon in a ceremony at the school, according to Coach Kevin Lavalle.
Pitcher James Kaprielian (UCLA), third baseman Zack Rivera (Long Beach State) and shortstop Garret Brown (University of Indiana) will sign their letters.
The players helped Beckman win their third straight Pacific Coast League title.

A defensive-minded game saw Beckman outlast Estancia, 12-10, on Thursday night.
Highlights include a punt that comes close to hitting the cheer squad, the crowd reacting to the New York Yankees’ loss, and an earth-shattering tackle.
There are also interviews with Estancia head coach Mike Bargas and Beckman quarterback Cameron Biedgoly.
Beckman baseball players James Kaprielian and Garret Brown verbally committed to two colleges on Monday, Coach Kevin Lavalle said.
Kaprielian, a pitcher, verbally committed to UCLA while Brown, a shortstop, verbally committed to University of Indiana.
Both players received scholarships, Lavalle said.
