Cypress running back Jake Brito (6-0, 190) has committed to FCS contender Cal Poly SLO, he said in a text message.
“Just felt at home,” Brito wrote in a text message Monday morning. “Loved every single thing about it.”
Brito visited Cal Poly SLO over the weekend. He was scheduled to visit Sacramento State later this month but will not make the trip, he said.
Cal Poly finished 2012 with a 9-3 record, falling at Sam Houston State, 18-16, in the second round of the FCS playoffs.
One of the Mustangs’ top players was outisde linebacker Nick Dzubnar from Mission Viejo. Dzubnar led the team in total tackles with 107.
