Football recruiting: Orange Lutheran RB headed to Big Sky Conference

Speedy Orange Lutheran running back Jabari Wilson (5-11, 200) has committed to FCS Eastern Washington, Lancers football Jim Kunau reports.

Wilson rushed for 630 yards in 2011. Eastern Washington offered him a scholarship last month.

Speedy Orange Lutheran running back/linebacker Jabari Wilson (5-11, 200) has been offered by Eastern Washington of the Big Sky Conference, Lancers coach Jim Kunau reports.

Eastern Washington tied for third in the FCS conference this season.

Football: Santa Margarita stifles Orange Lutheran (video)

Santa Margarita bounced back after last week’s lackluster performance to defeat Orange Lutheran, 31-10, on Friday night.

The Eagles’ Johny Stanton was outstanding, throwing for 164 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Ryan Wolpin contributed 105 yards rushing and a touchdown.

The loss drops Orange Lutheran to 0-2 in the Trinity League, making the Lancers’ next game against Mater Dei “do or die,” according to Coach Jim Kunau.
