Football Video: Luke Gane's inspirational journey

Luke Gane was diagnosed with aplastic anemia before the 2008 season.  He underwent chemotherapy and needed a bone marrow transplant. Baseball playoffs: Huntington Beach survives wild finish

baseball_iconHuntington Beach survived a near-heartbreaking finish Tuesday to reach the CIF-SS Division II championship game.

The Oilers entered the bottom of the seventh inning with a six-run lead, but Chino Hills hit two home runs with two outs and cut the lead to one run.

Wednesday: Huntington Beach (8-6, 3-2) at No. 9 Foothill (11-4, 3-2), 3:15 p.m.

baseball_iconOutlook: Second place in the Sea View League will be on the line this week. The teams will also play Friday at Huntington Beach. The Oilers won the first meeting, 6-4, on March 20.

Sean Guite, Michael Chairez, Blake Cestr, Jon Combest and Jake Porter all had two hits for the Oilers. Eduardo Diaz had three hits for the Knights.
