A viewing for Garden Grove football player Kevin Telles, who died Friday after collapsing during a game, will be held Thursday at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier from 5-8 p.m., his father, Robert, said.
A funeral mass will be held Friday at St. Columban Catholic Church in Garden Grove at 1 p.m., followed by the burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
The Argonauts are scheduled to play Woodbridge on Thursday night at Irvine High.

The Garden Grove football team plans to play its game on Thursday against Woodbridge, according to a story by the Register's Annie Burris.
The school is still waiting to find out about funeral services for senior linebacker/fullback Kevin Telles, who collapsed during a game Friday and was pronounced dead later that night.
In the Division III playoffs on Friday:
Paramount 5, Garden Grove 3: The Argonauts' Division III playoff opener came down to a few breaks. Unfortunately, they were on the wrong side of most of them.
An error by the Argonauts (15-11) led to two unearned runs in the first inning, and their bats fell silent through four innings.
Still, trailing by five runs entering the top of the fifth, they strung together three runs on three consecutive hits off Pirates starter Osbaldo Magallon.

St. Margaret's running back John Murayama is listed at 5-foot-3, 135 pounds. Not exactly prototypical size but he put some giant numbers on Thursday. In fact, he almost broke a pretty giant Orange County record.

No. 5 Villa Park 17, El Dorado 2: Josh Samuels scored five goals to become the Spartans’ all-time leading scorer. The U.S. junior team standout started the match tied with former county player of the year Shea Buckner for the record with 364 goals.
Samuels set the record by scoring the first goal 49 seconds into the match at Villa Park. The Spartans (18-6, 4-0) clinched at least a share of the league crown.

FULLERTON - Running back Josh Brannon rushed for 292 yards as Pacifica defeated Troy, 27-0, in a nonleague game Friday night at Fullerton High School.
Brannon’s only score in the game was a 3-yard touchdown run with 4:19 left in the fourth quarter.

GARDEN GROVE - Northwood got a big lift from its special teams unit Thursday night in a nonleague game against Los Amigos.
The unit put up two touchdowns to help the Timberwolves capture a 34-20 victory over the Lobos at Garden Grove High.
