Here’s the all-tournament team from Saturday’s Irvine Southern California girls water polo championships in Irvine:
Most outstanding field player: Nikki Stansfield, Foothill, Sr. (USC)
Most outstanding goalie: Maddie Trabucco, Santa Barbara, Sr. (Cal)
All-tournament:
Kelsey Roland, Foothill, Sr., GK, (Cal)
Brenna Thomas, Foothill, Sr. (UC Santa Barbara), pictured left in black
Sophie Trabucco, Santa Barbara, Sr. (UC Santa Barbara)
Kelsey O’Brien, Santa Barbara, Sr. (UCLA)
Maddie Trabucco made 15 saves to help lead Santa Barbara’s girls water polo team past Orange County No. 1 Foothill, 5-4, in the finals of the Irvine SoCal championships Saturday in Irvine.
The victory positions the Dons to earn the top seed for the upcoming CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
Coach Mark Walsh’s team has now captured 15 consecutive games and adds the SoCal title to its crown at the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions last month.
Santa Barbara also is the only Division 1 contender to final in all three of the major regular-season tournaments. The Dons were the runner-ups at the Holiday Cup in December to Foothill, the last team to beat Santa Barbara.
More to come, including all-tournament honors.

I could not figure out what to do with Servite. The Friars have beaten El Toro and Orange Lutheran. But how much of that was The Asylum — the greatest rooting section in the county — and how much was that the team?
I moved Servite in and out of my top 10, then finally decided this is how I would vote today …
The Knights scored 22 points in an explosive 3rd quarter performance.
Foothill defeated Villa Park 61-51.
Justin Davis had 18 points.
