There’s isn’t a bad pick between these three leading candidates but see if you can pick one:

Crean Lutheran sophomore swimmer Ella Eastin broke the U.S. national record for independent schools — or private schools — in the 200-yard individual medley Thursday night at the CIF-SS Division 3 finals in Riverside.
Eastin blazed a lifetime-best and Orange County record time of 1 minute, 55.15 seconds, which breaks the national independent high school record, according to Swimming World’s updated high school records. The previous record was a 1:56.31 set earlier this year by Kaitlyn Jones of Delaware.
The overall high school record — public or private — is a 1:53.82 set by Dagny Knutson in 2009 for public school Minot in North Dakota.
Here’s a video of Eastin’s 200 IM on Thursday night and her post-race interview:

Crean Lutheran sophomore swimmer Ella Eastin edged the Orange County record in the 100-yard butterfly by the slimmest of margins Saturday at the 41st Foothill Swim Games.
The SOCAL club swimmer blazed a time of 53.53 seconds to edge Tara Thomas’ 2007 county-record of 53.54 for Beckman by one one-hundredth of a second.
Eastin entered Saturday’s final ranked fourth in county history in the fly with a 53.93 last season. She emerged afterward with her first of likely multiple county records. She is ranked second all-time in the 200 IM.
The girls butterfly will be a fun race to watch the rest of the season. JSerra sophomore Katie McLaughlin blazed a 53.37 in a club meet in December for the Mission Viejo Nadadores. That time is the fastest for a 15-year-old in the nation this year.
Eastin moves to second in that USA Swimming list.

Rising Crean Lutheran sophomore and SOCAL club swimmer Ella Eastin captured the 400-yard individual medley at the Speedo Winter Junior Nationals by an impressive four seconds Friday at the University of Tennessee.
Eastin, 15, won the race in 4 minutes, 9.66 seconds to tie the 2010 meet-record. The sec0nd-place finisher touched almost 4 1/2 seconds behind Eastin.
Crean and O.C. Waves swimmer Lindsey Engel placed third in the 100 fly (53.34) and fourth in the 100 back (53.59). The junior’s fly time is faster than Tara Thomas’ 2007 O.C. high school record of 53.54.

Swimmer Lindsey Engel of the Orange County Waves club and Crean Lutheran captured the 50-yard freestyle in a sizzling 22.24 seconds at the Speedo Winter Junior National Championships at the University of Tennessee on Thursday.
Engel, 16, shattered the 2010 meet-record of 22.63 held by Faith Johnson of STAR Aquatics of North Carolina.
The junior’s time is about half-a-second faster than Courtney Cashion’s Orange County high school record of 22.75 for Irvine in 2004.
All-County swimmer Ella Eastin of Crean Lutheran has joined the SOCAL club team after leaving the Irvine Novaquatics club, SOCAL coach Stephen Pickell confirmed.
Eastin was an Olympic Trials qualifier in multiple events with the Novaquatics during the summer. She is a sophomore at Crean Lutheran.
As a freshman, Eastin claimed CIF-SS Division 3 titles in the 200-yard individual medley (1:59.88) and the 100 butterfly (53.93) in division records.
Her 200 IM time was about one second off Kristen Caverly’s county record of 1:58.86 for San Clemente in 2001.
Eastin’s sister, Emily, also is now at SOCAL, Pickell said. Emily is a freshman at Crean Lutheran.
Crean Lutheran super-freshman Ella Eastin cranked a county-leading and lifetime-best 53.93 in the 100-yard butterfly to set a second CIF Division 3 record tonight in Riverside.
Eastin become only the third county girl ever to break 54 seconds in the fly. Tara Thomas holds the county record with a 53.54.
It will be interesting to see if Katie McLaughlin of JSerra joins the 53-second job on Saturday at the Div. 1 finals.
Update 1
Crean Lutheran super-freshman Ella Eastin has become just the third O.C. girl ever to break two minutes in the 200-yard individual medley with a 1:59,88 in a record performance at the CIF-SS Division 3 swim finals in Riverside.
Eastin slips past Janet Evans for No. 2 in county history and now only trails county-record holder Kristen Caverly (1:58.86).
