El Toro outside hitter Christina Bauch, the Co-Player of the Year in the Sea View League last year, has committed to Sacred Heart University, Chargers coach Brian David said in an e-mail Tuesday.
Bauch, a senior, has been a starter for the Chargers since her freshman year.
Sacred Heart, located in Fairfield, Conn., went 18-13 overall and 6-5 in the Northeast Conference last season.

A senior-started rally, finished by a junior, produced two runs in the seventh inning to give El Toro a 4-3 victory over Foothill on Tuesday at Foothill, clinching the Chargers' third league championship in as many years as a member of the Sea View League.
El Toro, ranked No. 1 in Orange County and in CIF-Southern Section Division II, will go into the playoffs as the league’s No. 1 representative, guaranteeing the Chargers (21-4, overall, 13-1 in league) a home game in the first round on May 21.
