Top-ranked Edison continued its dominance in the Sunset League on Friday night by shutting out Fountain Valley, 24-0, in the Battle for the Bell. The Edison defense recorded four sacks, and Davion Orphey had two touchdowns on 124 yards rushing.

Last year, there was a five-way tie for first with these teams at 3-2: Edison; Esperanza; Fountain Valley; Los Alamitos and Newport Harbor.

Servite entered Friday's nonleague showdown with Edison averaging 38 points a game through its first three games.
