Dana Hills knocked out No. 10 Newport Harbor in the first quarter Friday, outscoring them 17-0 on the way to a 41-7 victory.
Cecil Whiteside & Cedric Whitaker were no match for Dana Hills' defense, which recorded six sacks. Check out highlights from the game, which includes some Pee Wee football that was played at halftime. (It was epic!) Video by OCVarsity.com's Jonathan Khamis.
In the latest CIF-SS Division I coaches' poll, Dana Hills was voted No. 1, Campbell Hall No. 2.

With four consecutive CIF-SS Division I final appearances - including two championships - the University's boys tennis team is in the midst of an incredible run of dominance. (The Trojans haven't lost to a county team in boys tennis since Dana Hills beat them in the 2006 CIF-SS Div. I final.)

Outlook: The Dolphins are off to another 2-0 start under Coach Brent Melbon, having defeated Santa Margarita and El Toro. Can they get to 3-0?
Last season, Edison dominated Dana Hills on the way to a 48-20 victory. That was with Dana Hills quarterback Sean Schroeder and his band of receivers.

Like a great novel you can't put down, the boys volleyball season was captivating from start to finish. The teams in the top 10 beat up on each other, and there were teams like Costa Mesa and Cypress who had amazing seasons without reaching the top 10.
