There is plenty of volleyball to be played. Stay tuned.

That was a big game for the Wildcats, as CdM didn't go a good job of closing. The Sea Kings led 17-12, and REV star player Krista VanSant was in the backrow. However, REV still managed to put together a run with some help from sloppy passing by CdM.

REV tied the match at 18, and once VanSant got back in the front row, she took over.

Early on this match looks easy to call. If CdM passes the ball cleanly, they will win. If not, they are in danger.

That' s four straight titles for Connelly.

The Division II-AA match between No. 1 Redlands East Valley and No. 2 Corona del Mar is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Huntington Beach-Dos Pueblos and Newport Harbor-Los Alamitos will follow. If you can't make it out to Cypress, no problem, keep your browser tuned to OCVarsity.com and follow all the action here.

Newport Harbor is already in the gym. The team came up to Cypress early, had some lunch, and plans to watch the first game between CdM-REV before heading back to NH. The Sailors then will turn around and come back for tonight's match.

Seem odd? Well, most of the girls haven't played in this gym, and the coaching staff didn't want the first time they see the gym to be during pregame warmups.

One thing to watch for later in the NH-Los Al match is fan support. Los Al figures to bus students to the match like in the semi against Mira Costa. NH is going to have its fair share here, but one issue with that is NH's water polo team faces El Toro at 6:30 in Irvine.

That's a tough situation for Sailors fans.

But again, if you are at the water polo match, check your Iphones and Blackberry's.

We'll have everything as it develops.

CdM had its chance to even the match, but Victoria Wing found a way to beat Hailey Hogan, 7-5. Wing trailed 4-5 with Hogan serving for the set.

As it stands, the match looks good for Dana Hills.

Alyssa Smith, who lost Melissa Matsuoka 7-5, is playing CdM's No. 3 singles player. That also means DH"s No. 2 doubles team in playing CdM's No. 3 team. That would figure to be 9 games for Dana Hills, which has more games at this point. Plus, Joanna Smith would seem to be the favorite to beat Hogan, and that would 10 sets.

Dana Hills' victory at No. 2 doubles in the opening round is proving huge. That round could have been 3-3. Combine that with the fact CdM had a chance to win Round 2, 4-2, and it's the Sea Kings who could be leading 7-5 heading into Round 3. It's that close out here.

That was a giant win, swinging the match from being even to having Dana Hills lead 4-2.

Corona del Mar rallied at No. 1 doubles, winning the final three games and the set 6-4.

Hailey Hogan went up early on Alyssa Smith at No. 2 singles, but the Dolphins freshman came back and won, 6-4.

At this point, it seems like the most CdM can hope for in singles is 2 sets. That would mean the Sea Kings need five of the final six doubles sets, but would probably be short on games.

Advantage Dana Hills right now.

Corona del Mar

Singles: Melissa Matsuoka, Hailey Hogan, Nini Ugrelidze

Doubles: Kelli Feeley-Azadeh Nazemi, Katelyn Nguyen-Kalika Slevcove, Kenzie Ludlow-Alison Ishii

Thoughts: That's the lineup Dana Hills has used most of this season, and I'm not surprised to see it for this match. Why change it, right? CdM, on the other hand, had decisions to make about its lineup. Possibly playing Hailey Hogan in doubles was one idea, or playing Katelyn Nguyen in singles. However, I think this lineup gives CdM the best shot. I think it's going to be a tight match.

Keep checking for updates throughout the match.
