A day after earning its 11th consecutive Pacific Coast League girls tennis championship, No. 2 Corona del Mar faced No. 5 Laguna Beach on Wednesday in each team’s final nonleague match of the season.

The Monarchs have been waiting all season for their signature victory and it finally happened Tuesday night at the expense of No. 6 Orange Lutheran.
Mater Dei stunned the Lancers in three, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21, in Trinity League action at Orange Lutheran.
