Boys volleyball: CIF playoffs bracket release times

Ocean View wins big

Ocean View knocked off Inglewood, 76-47, today at Mater Dei High for the CIF-SS Division IV-AA championship.

The Seahawks were led by 21 points from Anthony Brown, 20 from Avery Johnson and 18 from Mason Jones. Ocean View jumped out to an 18-4 lead and never let up the rest of the way.

Boys basketball championship previews

Five O.C. teams will play Saturday for CIF-SS championships, including an all-O.C. game between Canyon and Santa Margarita.

Three of the contests will be at Honda Center, starting with the Canyon-Santa Margarita game at 12:30 p.m. And the other will be at Mater Dei High.

    CIF boys basketball preview capsules

    Orange County teams will play Friday in 10 CIF-SS semifinal basketball games in nine divisions, with the winners moving on to championship games next week.

    There are some teams that were expected to get here, some surprises and even a team that reached the semis in only its first year of playoff eligibility.
