A look at the boys basketball quarterfinals

February 19th, 2011, 4:46 pm by

Twenty-one Orange County boys basketball teams will play in the CIF-Southern Section quarterfinals Tuesday. Only six will play home games, with the other 15 hitting the road.
When two teams meet after the first round of the playoffs, the team with the fewest number of home playoff game is the home team. If the teams have had the same number of home playoff games, a coin flip determines the home team. Aliso Niguel, Mission Viejo and Segerstrom won coin flips; Canyon, Capistrano Valley, Edison, La Habra, Sonora St. Margaret’s and Whittier Christian lost coin flips.
County teams are represented in the quarterfinals of all 12 divisions, and in all four 2AA quarterfinal games.

Predictions on the quarterfinal games involving OC teams.
