JSerra freshman shortstop Chase Strumpf has committed to UCLA, Lions coach Brett Kay said. Strumpf is the 29th JSerra player to commit to a university, but he’s the first freshman to do so.
“To have a freshman verbally committ is unheard of,” Kay said. “But Chase is one of those special players that comes and immediately makes an impact. Great family and great kid. A special player that has the drive to get better everyday. ”
