Calvary Chapel junior Tank Knowles (215 pounds) has advanced to Saturday’s quarterfinals at the Ironman Tournament in Ohio.
Knowles, the top-seeded wrestler in his weight class, will face Joe Getto of Padua Franciscan High of Ohio Saturday morning.
His teammates Gavin McDonald (103) and Dean O’Bourke (112) are alive in the consolation bracket at their respective weight classes.

The division with the most county teams should have a great finish Saturday. Calvary Chapel will enter day two with the overall team lead, but not by much at the CIF Central Divisional at John Glenn High in Norwalk.
