Here are some things I’ve been thinking about:
1. Set-piece king?
That’s the question I’m asking of Woodbridge’s Tyler Ortega. The junior midfielder’s accuracy is among the best in the county.
His ability to place the ball creates scoring positions from spots where it wouldn’t for other teams.
But don’t take my word for it.
Here’s what El Toro coach Ken Sjobom said of him: “He plays really great balls. He’s very effective. Their set pieces our their best part of their game.”
Warriors coach Sean Ganey said he would put Ortega in the top five in the county on free kicks.
“He can put the ball where it needs to be and that’s dangerous,” Ganey said.
