Free football clinic at OLu

St. Louis Rams receiver Austin Pettis, left, is hosting a free football skills camp at Orange Lutheran on Saturday.

Two sessions: ages 8-13 from 10:30 a.m. to noon; ages 14-18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Participants are required to bring their own cleats or other footwear that would be good for the camp. No pads or helmets required.

Pettis was an All-County receiver at Orange Lutheran, went on to be a standout receiver at Boise State and has been with the Rams the past two seasons.

Austin Pettis Celebrity Basketball Game

St. Louis Rams receiver and Orange Lutheran alum Austin Pettis, left, has organized a celebrity basketball game at Orange Lutheran on Saturday at 1 p.m.

It is a fundraiser for his Austin Pettis Foundation. Admission is $15. Advance tickets can be purchased here.

VIP tickets ($75) include VIP seating at the basketball game and admission to a postgame reception at OC Sports Bar and Grill. Sponsorship opportunities are available via the foundation website.

Pettis played football (All-County), basketball (a fine player) and advanced to the CIF-Southern Section track and field championships in the high jump at Orange Lutheran, before a great couple of years of football at Boise State.
