And here are the players of the game:
Offensive player of the game was WR Scotty Williams of Orange Lutheran, who had 11 receptions for an all-star game record 150 yards, with a touchdown.
The score: South 38, North 21 here at Orange Coast College in the county all-star game.
The game's record for most combined points is 62 (a 45-17 North victory in 1969).
A couple good catches by Gavin Escobar of Santa Margarita, solid running by Jaron Hytche of Mater Dei, a strong offensive line and a very quick defense have led the South so far.
South QB Andrew McDonald is 4 for 6 for 62 yards.
The quarter ended with the North at the South 31 -- the best North drive of the game.
Only one scratch from the rosters -- Michael Allain of Fullerton, running back-defensive back, according to North coach John Barnes of Los Alamitos. South coach Brian Barnes said every player on the South roster is here and ready to go.
Kickoff at 7:15 p.m. ... that's the plan. We shall see ...

North 16, South 14.
