Football recruiting: Los Al’s Redmond decommits from Oregon, picks UCLA

December 27th, 2012, 10:41 pm by

Los Alamitos offensive lineman Alex Redmond, one of Orange County’s top recruits, has decommitted from Oregon and committed to UCLA, the senior confirmed Thursday night.

Redmond (6-5, 295) dislocated his elbow in practice Oct. 2 and missed the Griffins’ Sunset League season. He is now recovered and wrestling well for Los Alamitos.

He also returned to football at the recent Cal State Game in Visalia.

Redmond plans to take an official recruiting trip to UCLA in January.

The Bruins also have a commitment from Orange Lutheran offensive lineman John Lopez.
