Some of the top former county high school wrestlers will try to lead Santa Ana College to the Community College Dual State Championship Friday night when the Dons hosts Fresno City College at 7p.m. in Bill Cook Gymnasium
Those interested in becoming a high school wrestling official should attend the Orange County Wrestling Officials first preseason meeting on Sunday (Sept. 27) at 6 p.m. in Room 406 at Corona del Mar High.
Anyone with any experience as a competitor on any level, coach on any level or knowledgeable fan is invited and encouraged to attend and join the association and become a wrestling referee.

The San Clemente Triton wrestling team finished third out of 22 teams at the annual Watts Summer Games last month at Southwest College in Los Angeles.
Mitch Newcomer (Laguna Hills) will wrestle at Embry-Riddle, Hawks coach Cliff Jarmie said. Newcomer placed third at 135 pounds last season at the CIF State Tournament.
Andrew Schulte, formerly of Calvary Chapel, has transferred and enrolled at Laguna Hills, his father Aaron said in an email.
