I’m still here at Trabuco Hills High for the girls and boys Southern Section championships. St.Margaret’s girls defeated Palos Verdes, 16-8 to win the title. We’re at halftime in the boys and Foothill leads Palos Verdes, 6-4. Tyler Brown had a hat trick for the Knights in warm-ups.

The “unofficial” Southern Section lacrosse championships will be played Friday at Trabuco Hills High.

St.Margaret’s leads Los Alamitos, 8-3. Mary Rachel Walsh has three goals for the Tartans. Lindsey Schmidt Beck has a pair for the Griffins.

Los Alamitos and StMargaret’s will meet for the county championship in a few minutes here at Trabuco Hills. The teams have split a pair of meetings so far this season. I will be back with a halftime report.
