Cross Country: Orange County Championships will now be a two-day meet

The county’s premier cross country invitational will be expanding next season, as the Orange County Cross Country Championships will now be a two-day meet.

The dates for the 2013 meet are Friday and Saturday, October 18th-19th at Irvine Regional Park in Orange.

Foothill cross country coach and meet director Matt Bell confirmed the move and the dates, citing the growing popularity of the meet along with other events being held simultaneously at the park creating the need to spread the invitational out from its traditional one-day format.

Boys track and field: Track and Field Leaders (5-14-13)

The first postseason stop along the road to the 2013 CIF State Track and Field Championships saw some changes to the county leaderboard.

With county athletes preparing to compete in this weekend’s CIF-SS Divisional Finals, here is an updated look at the current county leaderboard.

*Only fully automated times are considered for the county leaderboard.

*Times and Marks represented have been submitted and verified by OC Varsity and EPI Sports.

County track and field athletes began the official road to the 2013 CIF State Track and Field Meet by competing at the CIF-SS Divisional Preliminaries Saturday throughout greater Southern California.
