Football recruiting: Capo Valley defensive back commits to Humboldt St.

Capistrano Valley safety Jeff Shott (6-0, 190) has committed to Division II Humboldt State, Cougars coach Matt Poston reports.

Shott was the Sea View League’s defensive player of the year and a third-team All-County pick.

He was recruited to play outside linebacker, Poston said in an e-mail.
