
Cal Poly freshman Camden Prince, a 2012 Mater Dei graduate, survived at six-hole playoff at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational to win the first individual title of his collegiate career on Tuesday.
Price took a par on the decisive playoff hole while Charleston’s Zach Monroe finished with a bogey.
Price also helped Cal Poly win the team portion of the tournament at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah, edging Charleston by one stroke, 584-585.
Price shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish the tournament with a 2-under 142. The 70 he posted on Monday during the first round was one stroke off his best round of the season.
