
With several league titles and CIF playoff berths still to be decided, here is a look at some of Monday’s action from around the county.
In Empire League:
Yorba Linda 1, Western 0: Ashlee Webb’s second half goal off an assist from Shelby Lanksbury helped the visiting Mustangs claim first place with a win over the Pioneers (9-7-3; 3-6-1).
In the South Coast League:
No. 2 Dana Hills 3, Tesoro 0: Goals from Rachel Edelstein, Katie Schwarm, and Sophie Gullickson helped the visiting Dolphins (10-1-4; 5-1-1) take sole possession of first place with a road win over the Titans (4-10-4; 0-5-2).
San Clemente 1, No. 8 Mission Viejo 0: Nikki Faris scored a first half goal to lead the visting Tritons (9-5-6; 2-2-3) over the Diablos (9-6-2; 4-2-1).
In the Sea View League:
Trabuco Hills 3, El Toro 2: Alyssa Ares, Rayven Hernandez, and Nicole Ulrich each scored goals, as the host Mustangs (2-13-4; 1-4-2) edged the Chargers (6-10-3; 2-4-1).
In the Trinity League:
Santa Margarita 2, JSerra 1: Samantha Trenary scored a goal and assisted another, as the host Eagles (8-5-4; 5-1-2) clinched their fourth straight Trinity League title with a win over the Lions (12-6-3; 3-4). Lauren Rodriguez also scored for Santa Margarita.
In the Garden Grove League:
Bolsa Grande 2, La Quinta 0: The host Matadors received goals from Vanessa Zambrano and Jeanette Zambrano in their victory over the Aztecs.
In the Orange Coast League:
Saddleback 7, Costa Mesa 0: Maritssa Perez had a hat trick and two assists to lead the Roadrunners (10-4-5; 4-2-3) to a home win over the Mustangs (2-14; 1-8). Angela Hernandez had a goal and two assists, while Amy Perez had a goal and an assist. Lilibeth Torres and Valerie Quiroz also scored for Saddleback.
In the Orange League:
Santa Ana Valley 8, Magnolia 0: Jessica Reyes recorded a hat trick, as the Falcons (12-7-2; 6-2-1) blanked the Sentinels (0-18-1; 0-8-1) at Centennial Park. Genesis Alonso and Brenda Chopin scored two goals each, while Amayrani Cristobal scored a goal and recorded an assist. Cindy Dominguez had 16 saves for Magnolia.
