Football recruiting: Tustin linebacker Daniel commits

Tustin linebacker Marshaun Daniel (5-11, 210) has committed to Cal Poly SLO, the senior said in a text message Sunday.

Daniel made a recruiting trip the FCS school this weekend.

“Coach (Tim) Walsh said I will be a great fit to their program and I have a chance of playing as a true freshman,” Daniel said in a text message.

Daniel is the second Tustin linebacker to commit. Ed Tandy gave a verbal pledge to Cal.

Cal Poly SLO has received a commitment from Cypress running back Jake Brito.
