Girls soccer: Tuesday’s recap (1-8-13)

Here is a look at Tuesday’s results from around the county.

In the Sea View League:

No. 1 Capistrano Valley 2, San Juan Hills 0: Casey Murphy scored a goal in each half, as the Cougars (10-1-2; 1-0) blanked the Stallions (6-2-3; 0-1) at Capistrano Valley High. Junior Aubrie Coley had nine saves for Capistrano Valley, who extended its unbeaten streak to 11 straight matches and its shutout streak to 10 straight matches.

In the South Coast League:

No. 2 Aliso Niguel 1, Mission Viejo 1: Kiana Palacios scored the match tying goal late in the second half, as the Diablos (5-4-2; 0-0-1) and Wolverines (7-2-2; 0-0-1) played to a tie at Aliso Niguel High.

No. 5 Dana Hills 3, No. 9 San Clemente 0: Behind goals from Hannah Ris, Sydnie Zuccolotto, and Rachel Edelstein, the Dolphins (6-0-3; 1-0) blanked the Tritons (7-4-3; 0-1) at Dana Hills High.

In the Century League:

No. 8 Villa Park 4, Brea Olinda 0: Naydeen Cabalo scored twice to spark the Spartans (11-4-4; 3-0) past the host Wildcats (8-4-6; 2-1). Tammy Stewart and Patricia Toon also added goals for Villa Park.

Canyon 2, El Modena 1, OT: Jessica Cadreau scored in the third minute of the first overtime, as the visiting Comanches (6-5-4; 2-0-1) defeated the Vanguards (6-9-1; 0-4).

In the Trinity League:

No. 7 Orange Lutheran 2, Rosary 2: Emilee Monnig and Maddie McDonald each recorded a goal and an assist, as the Royals (7-4-5; 0-0-1) and the Lancers (12-1-4; 0-0-1) played to a tie at Fullerton College. Andrea Koukladas and Dreena Ponders scored a goal apiece for Orange Lutheran.

In the Sunset League:

Marina 1, Huntington Beach 0:  Kayla Perry’s second half goal was the match-decider in the Vikings (4-10-2; 1-1) win over the Oilers (6-3-3; 1-1) at Marina High.

In the Freeway League:

No. 4 Sunny Hills 3, La Habra 2: Sarah Fajnor scored two goals to help the Lancers (12-1-4; 2-0) outlast the Highlanders in overtime at Sunny Hills High.

Troy 9, Buena Park 0: Bella Diaz recorded a hat trick to lead the host Warriors (13-4-1; 2-0) over the Coyotes. Caitlin Haugen and Rachael Wix scored two goals apiece for Troy.

In the Orange Coast League:

Saddleback 1, Laguna Beach 0: A first half goal from Lillibeth Torres spurred the Roadrunners (6-4-2; 1-0) to road victory over the Breakers (3-6-3; 0-1)

Estancia 2, Costa Mesa 0: Brandi White and Jackie Hubbard scored goals in Estancia’s (4-2-3 1-0) home victory over the Mustangs (1-7; 0-1).

In the Golden West League:

Segerstrom 6, Loara 2: Jazmin Lopez scored two goals and had two assists in the Jaguars (7-0; 1-0) victory over the Saxons (8-5-1) at Segerstrom High.

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 6, Whitney 0: Grace Chalmers had a hat trick, as the Tartans (4-3-4; 1-0) scored five goals in the second half to earn the home victory. McKenna Marmelstein added a goal and an assist for St. Margaret’s.

Crean Lutheran 3, Sage Hill 0: Megan Shoemaker had a goal and an assist in the Saints road win over the Lightning. Maddie Beavers and Katie Kneefel also tallied goals for Crean Lutheran.

Oxford Academy 7, Brethren Christian 0: The visiting Patriots (7-2; 1-0) defeated the Warriors (0-6; 0-1) behind goals from Brianna Washa, Brittany Vill, Samar Raghib, Alyssa Jiminez, Katie Ha, Manali Ghaniali, and Alexis Allen-Pok
