Newport Harbor’s girls water polo team has its own Big Three when it comes to field players. And the three seniors delivered again Wednesday night.

Carly Christian and Elissia Schilling each scored three goals and Avery Peterson added two goals and three assists to help Newport Harbor’s No. 2 girls team open Sunset League play with an 11-5 victory against visiting No. 10 Edison.

The Sailors led, 10-2, after three periods.

Newport Harbor plays host The Bishop’s of La Jolla on Saturday at noon.
