The Rosary girls’ soccer team has advanced to the semifinals of the 2012 Arizona Soccer Showcase in Scottsdale.

The Royals (7-4-4) defeated Sahuaro High of Tucson (4-1) and Corona del Sol High of Tempe (2-0) in their first two matches of the Showcase.

After playing Chaparral High of Scottsdale to a 0-0 tie Saturday morning, Rosary defeated Bonita Vista 1-0 in the quarterfinals Saturday afternoon on a second half goal by sophomore Emilee Monnig.

Rosary will face Highland High of Gilbert in the semifinals on Monday at 9 a.m.
