Estancia junior forward Jackie Hubbard recently showed just how strong her commitment is to making the world a better place.
Hubbard left the team for eight days earlier this month to participate in a volunteer effort with the Newport Mesa Christian Church in Haiti.
She raised the money needed for the trip and was with a group of 20 people that handed out food and water filters in villages, schools, and churches throughout the country.
The volunteer effort also seemed to inspire Hubbard once she returned to the pitch, as she has scored four goals in four games upon her return to the team.
According to Eagles head coach Jessica Perry, Hubbard wants to go back to the country and continue her volunteer efforts.
“She is an awesome kid and a great soccer player,” Perry said.
