Dana Hills All-County boys water polo player Sam Pfeil has committed to Stanford, Dolphins coach Matt Rosa said in a text message Tuesday night.

The left-handed attacker was selected second-team All-County and shared South Coast League MVP honors with El Toro’s Joey Colton.

Pfeil is an excellent get for the Cardinal because he’s a well-rounded and smart player.

He was a big reason Dana Hills captured the South Coast League title and pushed to the Division 1 quarterfinals.

Pfeil has been admitted to the MPSF school, Rosa said.
