Former Santa Margarita and Florida State quarterback Chris Rix for the second year in a row has put together his “Christmas Combine,” which is a football skills camp for college and high school football players and for boys of ages 7-13.
The college and high school players will work out in one group, with what Rix calls “The Young Guns” working out separately. Both groups will have a full staff of coaches and instructors.
The combine is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Maranatha High School in Pasadena. Cost is $40 per participant, which also includes camp shirt, or $50 on the day of the event.
Coaches who bring five or more players can get a discount of $30 fee per player. Families and athletes are encouraged to bring an unopened toy or gift of $25-$40 value to be donated to a shelter or needy family.
