Mater Dei junior water polo player James Walters has committed to five-time defending NCAA champion USC, Monarchs coach Chris Segesman said Friday.

Walters, a first-team All-County pick this past season for the Division 1 champions, will join his brother, Jon, at USC.

Jon, The Register’s player of the year for 2012, is expected to sign with the Trojans in February.
