Another key member of the Villa Park girls’ soccer team has committed to college, as Spartans coach Brent Whitfield announced that senior Melita Sutherland has committed to Harding University in Arkansas.

As a defender last season, Sutherland started every match for the Spartans and was instrumental in helping Villa Park qualify for the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.

Sutherland has also competed for the Spartans’ cross country and track and field teams.
