
The Santa Margarita Eagles will begin the season with one of the county’s largest group of players that have committed to college.
A total of 13 players on the Eagles current roster have already committed to college soccer programs across the country.
Among the players that have committed are first team all-county seniors Samantha Trenary (Cal) and Kailey Hackett (UC Santa Barbara).
Fellow seniors that have committed are: Taylor Wulf (University of Pittsburgh), Niki Miyashiro (Ohio State), Lauren Rodriguez (UCLA), Jennifer Rupey (San Diego State), Karli Ladwig (Kentucky).
Juniors that have committed for the Eagles are: Taylor and Kaitlin Klawunder (Notre Dame), Kassidy Gorman (Northwestern), Heather Walleigh (Cal), McKenna Roth (TCU), and Melanie Spensiero (UNC Greensboro).
