Girls soccer: St. Margaret’s Marmelstein signs with Biola

Tartans head coach Johnny Marmelstein has confirmed that first team all-county senior midfielder McKenna Marmelstein has signed a letter of intent to play next season with Biola University.

Marmelstein, who was named the CIF-SS Division 6 Player of the Year last season, scored 14 goals last season, including five in the CIF playoffs, as St. Margaret’s won its’ second straight CIF title.

Two other Tartans also made verbal commitments. Senior Stef Brunswick, a first team all-Academy League midfielder, has committed to Tufts University in Massachusetts. Brunswick tallied five goals and two assists last season.

Senior Alexis Leon, a second team all-Academy League defender, has committed to UC San Diego. Leon scored four goals and added three assists last season.
