Troy and Brea Aquatics club freestyler Katelyn Martin has signed with Boise State, Broncos women’s swim coach Kristin Hill announced.
Martin finished second in the 50-yard freestyle (24.16 seconds) at the CIF-SS Division 2 finals last season.
She was fourth in the 100 freestyle (52.81).
Here’s what Martin said about Boise State:
“I chose Boise State as my new home for the next four years because from the moment I walked on the pool deck I felt the indescribable bond and unconditional support the team and coaching staff had toward one another,” Martin said in a statement released by Boise State.
“I wanted to be on a team I could call my second family and I am very confident that I will be able to do that at Boise State. They provide all of their athletes with the resources they need, in and out of the pool, in order to grow exponentially. I can’t wait to see what I can accomplish in my future at Boise State.”
